Clarence J. Brown III plays the role of August Corbin. Brown is an American actor and voice actor, with a career starting in the early eighties. He portrayed Viking Lofgren in Bad Boys, The Kurgan in Highlander, Captain Hadley in The Shawshank Redemption, Sergeant Zim in Starship Troopers, and Justin Crowe in HBO's fantasy series Carnivàle, among other roles. Notable voice acting roles include as Lex Luthor in Superman: The Animated Series and Mr. Krabs in SpongeBob SquarePants. In 2014 he played army General Wade Eiling on the TV show The Flash.

History[]

Brown was born in 1959 in Urbana, Ohio,[1] and had an older sister, Beth (c.1957–1964).[2] Their mother, Joyce Helen (née Eldridge), was a conductor, composer, and concert pianist.[1][3] Their father, Clarence J. "Bud" Brown, Jr., helped manage the Brown Publishing Company, the family-owned newspaper business started by Clancy's grandfather, Congressman Clarence J. Brown. From 1965 to 1983, Bud Brown also served as a congressman, and later as Chairman of the Board of Brown Publishing.[4] The family operated the business until 2010. Brown graduated from St. Albans School in Washington, DC, as his family lived there much of the time while his father was serving in Congress. He played on the football team there and later earned a scholarship to Northwestern University, where he became a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
