The Fenestella is a chamber containing precious items that was designed by Thomas Jefferson and filled with Reavers that were intended to guard the contents of the chamber. Ichabod and Abbie investigated the chamber after three construction workers were taken.
History[]
Creation[]
Thomas Jefferson designed the Fenestella as a source of information for the Witnesses in the future. He stockpiled various texts which would serve as critical pieces of information which would help turn the tides when the Witnesses are battening evil. Jefferson spent most of his life collecting the information, mostly one-of-a-kind books, and consulted the Sisterhood of the Radiant Heart in order to assist him in creating an endless supply of energy while also immortalizing his spirit so that he could essentially assist the Witnesses in the future, even after his death.[1]
Rediscovery[]

The Fenestella was discovered again in the 21st century by three engineers who were mapping the Munition Tunnels when they stumbled upon a hidden chamber which leed to the Fenestella. They were soon captured by the Reavers. Ichabod Crane and Abbie Mills later found the chamber themselves though they managed to make it past the Reavers into the Fenestella itself where they were greeted by a magical hologram of Thomas Jefferson. He explains that he has all of the memories of Jefferson and is brought to life by a battery which utilizes supernatural energy to provide the Fenestella with power. Jefferson tells the Witnesses that the Fenestella was built as a source of information for them, information that would prove most important when battling evil as well as holding the answers to every question they had about their roles as witnesses. Abbie and Ichabod, however, chose to save the two remaining engineers from the Reavers and then vote to destroy the Fenestella to destroy the uncontrollable Reavers. This was so that no other civilians would stumble upon the place. Jefferson, though reluctant to destroy his life's work at first provides Ichabod with an ideal location which would cause a chain reaction and destroy the place, ending the Reavers.[1]
