- "With each tree that is burned black, more evil may enter. The blackening of the first white tree brought lightning. The second will bring blood. The fall of the third tree will bring Moloch's demon army."
- —Ichabod Crane[src]
The Four White Trees were four trees that partially represented the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and might be the source of their powers. And it's where Abbie and Jenny were going out to smuggle the beers they had when they saw Moloch raise Jeremy Crane from his grave.
Blackening of The First White Tree brought red lightning flashes in the clouds.
The second will bring blood (Just as he began doubting the truth, Hawley witnessed hailing blood and was quick to change his mind.)
The fall of the third will bring Moloch's demon army (While bringing the End of Days, Moloch successfully summoned the undead redcoat soldiers once he burned down the third White Tree.) The Fall of the Fourth Tree will complete the formation of Hell on Earth.
History[]
The earliest recorded mention was in 1882 when a local farmer had seen the Four White Trees and Moloch when he was cultivating them. He believed that they represented the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The information on the event was retrieved and recorded in The Archives by August Corbin when he was looking into Abbie and Jenny and their first encounter with Moloch.
Trivia[]
On-Screen Notes[]
- The four trees have been seen on two occasions over the years.
- Only one of the Four White Trees was left unburned. It can be signified as a symbol of Abraham Van Brunt; the only Horseman of the Apocalypse that is currently alive and active.
