"She was the last person who came here for sanctuary before the manor was abandoned."
Lena Gilbert to Ichabod Crane about Katrina Crane[src]

Fredericks Manor was an estate that belonged to Lachlan Fredericks and was considered a safe haven for former slaves, witches, and warlocks. It was the birth place of Jeremy Crane.

History[]

Sanctuary[]

While Abbie Mills was having one of her prophetic dreams, she saw the interior of the house. Specifically she saw a rocking chair which contained the Golem in it’s doll form. Katrina Crane soon after appeared to talk with her regarding Ichabod Crane as she was unable to connect with him.[1]

The manor was first introduced as a discovery by Lena Gilbert, a descendant of the original owner of the manor, Lachlan Fredericks. Unbeknownst to her and her bodyguard, Sam, the building was possessed by the Tree Monster, that later kills Sam and holds Lena hostage. A couple of days after these events occur, Ichabod and Abbie are sent to investigate Gilbert's disappearance. After they arrive, Ichabod recollects how he and Katrina visited the mansion at her request. It was special at the time due to the fact that former slaves could work there of their own volition.[2]

Headquarters[]

Jeremy Crane set up his headquarters in Fredericks Manor, where he conjured the spells as the "main villain" of Season 2. He also burnt the old bed that he was born in, and created a small-scale model of Sleepy Hollow's town structure.
