Grant Hollister is an artist living in Sleepy Hollow, and a friend of Ichabod Crane. He appears in the episode Pittura Infamante in season two.
History[]
Grant is first seen hard at work, restoring an 18th century painting, executed by the artist James Colby. As he works, he touches the painted surface, and discovered his fingers were covered in blood. He then thought the subject of the painting had moved, and he became quite disturbed.
On the evening of the gala dinner at the historical society, Grant approaches his friend Ichabod Crane, and tries to ask him for help. He knows there is something wrong, but can not quite believe what. When he was pulled away from his conversation with Crane by another society member, who complains about cracks in the painting's frame, he never got the chance to finish. The next time he is seen, he has been killed, and hanged by one ankle, in the position of the The Hanged Man from the tarot.
