Vetala were originally humans who were transformed into Vetalas through the Bajrayogini Statue of Kali along with the use of a ritual. These Vetalas are said to be servants of Kali.

Powers and Abilities[]
Powers[]
- Enhanced speed: Carmilla Pines moved from in front of Nick Hawley to behind him in a blur because she was moving so fast.
- Shapeshifting: Vetalas are able to shapeshift to their original human form to conceal their true appearance. In their true appearance, they have claws which secrete a venom composed of siskin and hydrofluoric acid, black eyes and wrinkled skin. Their shapeshifting capabilities are limited, however, to converting from their true appearance and their human one.
- Enhanced strength: Carmilla was able to effortlessly push Jenny Mills across the Munition Tunnels and into the wall of bricks.
- Immortality: Vetalas are, as mentioned, practically immortal and can only be killed with the combination of fire and iron. Each on their own only causes the Vetala pain.
Weaknesses[]
- Iron and Fire: As separate entities, they can only cause the Vetala pain. When they are combined or are used one after the other, the combination has the power to end the Vetala.
